Control4 Demos Kitchen Scenes at Smart Kitchen Summit

Music, lighting, and comfort all with the convenience of voice control make the kitchen a focal point in the connected home.

Seattle, WA – Smart Kitchen Summit, October 10-11, 2017 9 a.m. ET – Control4 Corporation (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading global provider of smart home solutions, will showcase the latest in both professionally programmed and homeowner personalized smart home scenes at the Smart Kitchen Summit, a premier event focused on the future of food, cooking, and the kitchen, taking place in Seattle on October 10 and 11.

A Control4 smart home system is designed to control and automate more than 10,700 devices in the connected home today. This allows Control4 to trigger actions from multiple devices simultaneously so homeowners can integrate their cooking and food preparation experience directly into their kitchen scenes. As an example, with Control4’s programmed home automation scenes, the voice command: “Alexa, turn on cooking” powers the lights over the kitchen island, turns on your “Grub Street” podcast on Spotify, and lowers the AC temperature, all while you continue to trim the chicken.
 
A smart kitchen is an efficient kitchen, but exactly what "efficient" means depends on a family's expectations. Much like a recipe from your favorite chef, Control4 starts with a professional design and installation but then lets homeowners tweak their system so it hits all personal lifestyle needs. Control4’s When >> Then personalization is a new, easy-to-use service from Control4. It enables customers to adjust the automation settings in their homes directly, personalizing their Control4 system at any time after the installation. Control4’s When >> Then personalization takes a simple approach; the user selects a When (on a schedule, with a touch of a button, or after an event) and selects a Then action to take place (turn on a light, start a playlist, or send a push notification). For example, with When >> Then, homeowners can change the schedule so if the kitchen temperature hits 76 degrees, the AC drops to 74 and the kitchen shades lower to reduce thermal heat. The web interface is intuitive and easy to follow; homeowners who subscribe to the Control4 4Sight service and have OS 2.10 installed have access to the When >> Then on customer.control4.com.
